Peppers are a key commodity for Baloian Farms and the goal was to develop a value added position for their mini peppers. Consumer trends indicate that snacking β particularly healthy snacking continued to be on the rise.
1. Mini peppers were already an easy snack item.
2. We facilitated all aspects of the new product development including serving size, packaging size, dip research, nutrition and branding.
3. Branding focused on a clear message of snacking β with grab and go packaging.
4. The product was pitched to retailers and was a New Product Finalist at the Fresno Food Expo.
The Result: The new item continues to grow retail sales and build ROI in their FOB program while helping retailers expand find new dollars for the category.
