So you’ve figured out the right time to go to market, you have a killer collection of curated products and you know exactly what audience you want to reach – but what do you say. Finding the right message that resonates with your customers is sometimes one of the hardest parts of marketing. Should you be funny, serious or irreverent, should you follow tradition or go off the beaten path?

The key to any great messaging is great storytelling. For generations, the stories that were well told were the stories that are best known. But like we said earlier – keep it real. As you are finding the voice and tone for your brand, it must also be authentic. Consumers can see through fabricated stories and will quickly tune out your message. Also, the more real your message, the easier your story will be to tell because you are living it.

Your message will live on you websites, packages, social media, blogs, advertisements and more. Make sure it’s ready to be read by the masses.

It seems you’re just about ready for your holiday launch so here’s a few simple, yet key tactics for a stellar holiday marketing campaign:

  • Feature your holiday deals, products and messaging on your company’s blog – why is featuring these on your blog important? Find out why here: https://fulltiltmarketing.net/2016/06/09/12-reasons-your-brand-or-business-should-have-a-blog/
  • Remember to have fun and not stress too much – the holiday season can be stressful enough with your own personal holiday plans, travel and weather, so remember to keep it light and not take any bumps in the road or potential customer complaints too seriously
  • Don’t forget about the power of email newsletters – around the holiday season, open rates can hit as high as 50% with the idea that they might discover a deal or new product. Try sending one out pre-Thanksgiving and possible one or two during December; but don’t forget, consumers are turned off if a message is too salesy.
  • Remember to maintain or create a content calendar during the holidays – it’s a busy time so having a visual reminder of what’s happening or what needs to go out when is important

It’s not too late to get your holiday marketing started – just email Alison@fulltiltmarketing.net to set up a consultation.
